What is spray foam?
When you’re thinking about installing new insulation, spray foam is a great option to consider, especially for homes and buildings that suffer from the extremes of Utah weather. Spray foam is a two-component mixture of isocyanate and polynol resin. During application, this chemicals are combined to create a polyurethane foam that expands to seal cracks and gaps, making the building more energy-efficient and comfortable.. It can be installed in the attic, walls and floors to improve air quality and energy efficiency. Unlike traditional insulating materials, spray foam can be used in virtually every area of your home or building. Due to its versatility, spray foam is also ideal for problematic and difficult-to-insulate areas.
Benefits of using spray foam
- Engery Savings
- Prevents Bugs and critters

- Improved indoor air quality
- Increases comfort
- Eliminate Moisture
- Increases resale value

where can Spray foam insulation be installed?
Roofing & attic Insulation
SPF can be applied on the floor of the attic to air seal and insulate or the underside of the roof deck to encapsulate the space for a more conroled enviorment. Insulating vented and unvented attics and rooflines drastically change the efficiency of a build keeping out unwanted air.
Walls, Ceilings & Basement
Spray foam is applied on-site and expands during the application process to conform to the unique shape of each wall. This process ensures that foam fills void spaces, maximizing its thermal performance and providing a barrier to thermal bridging.
Barns & metal Buildings
Spray foam expanded through the gaps of a metal building and barns; eliminating the chance of air & moisture intrusion. Air sealing tops the list of the most cost effective ways to save energy. Gaps, cracks, and penetrations are where air leaks occur and are often the culprit of high energy bills and overall discomfort.
Special Projects
Spray Foam can be used in many different applications and has many benefits. If you project is needing structural integrety, air barrier, water barrier or you are just looking for a more comfortable enviorment, Impact Insulation is here to help wit all projects.
Closed-Cell spray foam
Closed cell spray foam is built tough. This rigid spray foam performs great in flood/wind-prone areas since it can reject bulk water and creates structural strengths. It is also great for any project where you plan to leave the foam exposed because of its durability. Closed cell also provides an air seal and continuous insulation.
open-cell Spray foam
Open cell spray foam consistently outperforms traditional insulation like fiberglass and cellulose. The foam insulation provides high-performance thermal insulation and air sealing. This type of foam insulation is most commonly found in attics or where you have a large area for insulation.
